Thai or Chinese?

First, it was Chow Mein and now it's Pad See Ew. It used to be so easy to find a good Chinese Restaurant. It seemed like they were everywhere. Now, it's been over a year since I've had some good Chinese food. I keep going to all these Thai places, in hopes, that I will find something good to eat. Don't get me wrong, Thai food is amazing. I just can't seem to get enough of the Pad See Ew at Thai Bowl, but sometimes I really miss some good old Chinese.

When I was living in Lincoln Park, there were about four Chinese Restaurants on my street. The best Chinese Restaurant I had ever been to was by DePaul. It was called Wokki and had the best fried noodles ever. Professor Finkletstein from DePaul used to call it the best Chinese food he's ever had. But, as soon as he was denied tenure by DePaul, Wokki closed down. I still miss their spicy crunchy shrimp with their amazing fried rice.

Ever since I moved near UIC, I keep looking for new Chinese places to eat at. I've found a few by UIC, but they aren't very good. But then again, I do live in Little Italy, so most of the palces here are Italian. Other than Italian, there are a few Japanese places and Thai places, but there is no amazing Chinese place. That one place with the perfect prices, portions and delivery policies. Nope, there is none.

So, for now I guess I'm stuck with Pad See Ew. It's a good thing I love it so much.
